EXIT, the award-winning music festival, will happen from July 7th - 10th and will gather over 100 artists who will play at over ten stages at the historic location of Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Sad.
This year’s program will always host some of the most recognizable local and international artists and musicians. One of the most popular, most wanted, and most successful DJs and producers, Calvin Harris, will have his appearance on Saturday, July 9, together with Boris Brejcha, Adana Twins, and many more. Calvin Harris has positioned himself as the leading representative of modern dance music, breaking world records and dominating the charts. Throughout his career, he has amassed over 35 billion combined audio and video streams, making him one of the most-streamed performers in the world.
Besides that, EXIT will present famous artist Nick Cave, who had a deep impact on the history of popular culture. Nick Cave will perform with his band, The Bad Seeds, on Friday, July 8.
The festival brings together some of the biggest names in the field of music, growing and developing every year and proving itself as one of the best festivals in this region and Europe.
EXIT was officially proclaimed “Best Major European Festival” at the EU Festival Awards 2013 and 2017 The EU Festival Awards are considered one of the most influential festival awards in the world. EXIT has also won the “Best Overseas Festival” award at the UK Festival Awards in 2007, as well as the “Best Summer Music Festival in Europe” title for 2016 by the travel portal “European Best Destinations” awarded in cooperation with the European Commission. In March 2018 Regional Cooperation Council awarded EXIT Festival as Champion of Regional Cooperation for 2017.
The festival itself was founded in 2000 in the University Park as a student movement, fighting for democracy and freedom in Serbia and the Balkans. After the Yugoslavian general election in 2000, EXIT moved to the Petrovaradin Fortress in 2001, where it has stayed ever since.
