The GreenUp Accelerator—the first accelerator program dedicated to fostering innovation in green chemistry and sustainable production—was officially opened at ICT Hub this September.
The opening event brought together startup teams, mentors, and program partners. With the signing of agreements with the selected startups, the three-month intensive program officially began.
During the program, participants will have the opportunity to:
-
develop and test their innovative ideas,
-
enhance their business models,
-
receive mentorship and expert support,
-
connect with potential partners and investors.
The goal of the GreenUp Accelerator is to encourage the development of sustainable solutions in the chemical industry and to support startups that contribute to environmental protection, more efficient use of resources, and pollution reduction.
Over the next three months, the selected teams will go through a series of workshops, one-on-one mentoring sessions, and hands-on activities designed to help them improve their technologies and prepare them for market entry.
The launch of the GreenUp Accelerator once again highlights the importance of collaboration between the public sector, international organizations, and innovation communities in building a sustainable future.
The GreenUp Accelerator is jointly implemented by:
The Cleaner Production Center of the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, University of Belgrade, within the UNIDO/GEF project “Global Green Chemistry and Innovation Program” led by Yale University (USA), and
GreenUp Hub, a project of the German-Serbian Development Cooperation, implemented by GIZ in partnership with ICT Hub.
