Here people just love their coffee and they drink a lot of it, so the tradition is very long. So be sure – you won’t be left without excellent coffee in Belgrade. The city is full of cafeterias serving specialty coffee, from those that have by now already become small chains, such as Kafeterija, Koffein, Café & Factory, CoffeeDream and even the great mainstream Starbucks franchise, all the way to small neighborhood cafés where you can enjoy a cup of fantastic coffee, or have it on the go. We have compiled for you a short list of small cafeterias that roast, grind and finally prepare top-quality coffee.
Counter sale in Knjeginje Ljubice Street, in the heart of the city. The owner of this cafeteria is from Turkey, so be sure – he knows his coffee well. This is primarily takeaway coffee spot, or place where you drink your beverages quickly, since it has no seating arrangements, except for two bar stools.
One of the first cafeterias in the city is located in Kralja Petra Street, in the vicinity of Crna ovca gelateria. Here you can count on relaxed atmosphere, the smell of the coffee beans being roasted on the spot, and some local crowd.
A Vračar cafeteria where you can sip your coffee as you soak in the atmosphere of this central Belgrade neighborhood. The place is bright and pleasant and on weekends, you can expect different DJ sets here.
They serve superior coffee along with croissants and freshly squeezed juices. It is located in New Belgrade and it can be a part of your weekend route, as you go to, or from the Museum of Contemporary Art at the confluence of the two rivers.
This cafeteria is located at the bottom of Balkanska Street, on the ground floor of what was formerly Hotel Belgrade. They serve excellent coffee and bake phenomenal croissants!
This is actually a very short list, since a comprehensive one is virtually impossible to make. Belgrade is full of cafeterias serving specialty coffee that you will love. Our suggestion: try one by one and take your time!
