SUMMARY:Heapspace Meetup: How to make your websites more accessible?
DESCRIPTION:Join the new Heapspace Meetup!\nTheme: How to make your websites more accessible?\nSpeakers:\nAndrija Radojev\, Senior WordPress Expert\, GoDaddy\nLazar Bulatović\, Accessibility Consultant\, Accessi \nBlind people are often unable to do basic things on the web because developers usually don’t follow accessibility standards.\nWhereas most talks explain ways to make websites equally available regardless of disability\, the experiences of real users are left behind. This speech aims to reveal how the inaccessible web affects the daily life of the blind and hundreds of thousands of users depending on assistive technology. With personal stories and practical examples\, the audience will learn about the most frequent difficulties on websites this\ncommunity deals with. The participants will learn what the limits are to the speech software users\, caused by lack of knowledge or inappropriate accessibility testing. Consequently\, developers and designers will become aware of this issue and make sure their websites are technically accessible for people with disabilities. Participants will discover cases where automated accessibility solutions give false results. We will encourage them to engage disabled users in accessibility testing\, fostering employment among this underrepresented group. \nSign up here.

SUMMARY:Belgradegets.digital meetup #7
DESCRIPTION:Speculative Futures: AI and Design \n  \nWhat is the role of artificial intelligence\, augmentative reality\, and speculative design in the process of reimagining the future? How can we inspire people to rethink the use of everyday objects and reduce waste by giving them a renewed purpose? How can we strengthen our ability to influence the future? \n  \nThose are just some of the questions for our guest for the seventh in a row at the BGGD Meetup\, Simone Rebaudengo\, an Italian designer who has been living and working in Belgrade for some time now. He is one of the co-founders of oio.studio where he and his colleagues focus on exploring the implications of living and interacting with networked\, smart\, and autonomous systems. \n  \nSimone works in the realm between art and industry\, with clients and big companies such as: IKEA\, Google\, FROG\, and the Museum of the Future\, creating so-called actual products while designing fictitious and speculative objects that are displayed in galleries and museums. His primary focus is on the near future\, employing objects and prototypes to spark debate and stimulate human creativity. \n  \nJoin us at the event to learn more about the amazing projects he is involved in as well as his perspective on the importance of design in determining our near future.  \n  \nGuest speaker: \nSimone Rebaudengo is co-founder and creative director  at oio studio\, a creative company on a quest to turn emerging technologies into an approachable\, everyday\, and sustainable reality for humans and beyond. Previously\, he designed future scenarios and products for The Museum of the Future in Dubai\, founded a design fiction practice called Automato.farm\, and was lead designer at BMW Designworks and Frog. His work focuses on building experiential visions of the future and exploring the implications of living and interacting with networked\, smart\, and not-so-human things. His projects have been awarded by the Red Dot Design Award\, Core77\, and Interaction Awards and exhibited in galleries and museums such as the Vitra Design Museum\, the Triennial Museum in Milan\, and MAK Vienna. \n  \n———– \nBelgradegets.digital meetup is a physical meeting point for a community of international professionals and digital nomads living and working in and from Belgrade.
